- Identify and implement equipment improvements to increase efficiency and performance in the areas of safety, quality, food quality, capacity, cost.
- Develop preferred methods/standard operating procedures in conjunction with operational support.
- Assist with the equipment selection process, comprehend equipment specifications, and design requirements, including impacts to new facilities, facility retrofits, and other material handling equipment changes.
- Manage processes, projects, and systems in an effort to achieve unit goals in accordance with company policies and practices.
- Create an effective work environment by setting clear objectives, successfully integrating with teams, and maintaining open communications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, professional attitude, and approach, and have the ability to interact with individuals at various levels of the organization.
- Technically proficient in equipment capabilities, standards, performance improvement, and statistics.
- Able to analyze and provide solutions for equipment and process improvements.
- Experienced in developing preferred methods/Standard Operating Procedures.
- Proficient in utilizing labor data to cost justify capital expenditure and process change ROI.
- A superior project manager and able to meet concurrent project deadlines.
- BS Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field required.
- 4-6 Food manufacturing experience as well as knowledge of FDA/USDA standards desired.
- 4-6 years of experience investigating, analyzing, justifying, and selecting equipment to assist the company in making the correct decision to improve costs and efficiencies.
- 4-6 years of engineering, and project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Lean Six Sigma certification and Kaizen experience desired.
- 2-3 years SCADA and Ignition experience.
