Allocation Analyst, Helly Hansen DTC Merchandise Planning, North AmericaThe RoleHelly Hansen is looking for an analytical professional with a passion for the outdoors to join our merchandise planning team. This person will work to develop an inventory management strategy, allocate initial seasonal product and weekly replenishment, and report out on inventory metrics to cross-functional partners. This position reports to the Manager, DTC Merchandise Planning and will be based in Denver.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide data-driven decisions for inventory management across DTC channels and product lines for the region.
  • Co-create and define product and inventory strategy for Outlet channel to improve marketplace performance, incorporating distribution of stores, e-commerce, and wholesale partners.
  • Deliver seasonal inventory analysis and communicate insights to optimize future seasons.
  • Analyze sales and inventory data to determine approach to allocation specific to the style/color/size needs at the store level.
  • Ownership of product specific size-selling, sharing learnings to improve go forward buys.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to understand shipment delivery times and any changes to intended deliveries.
  • Recommend and execute product transfers between stores and at season's end.
  • Partner with merchandise planning stakeholders to ensure that assortments and forecasts align with financial targets.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, process-orientation, and data-driven decision making.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in retail, business, supply chain or related field.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in retail allocation and inventory management.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and openness to ambiguity.
  • Confidence in excel and comfortability with analyzing large data sets.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and multi-time zone environment.

  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel up to 25%, including potential international travel.
