We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director Global Styrene (m/f/d) to run and represent our global Styrene business at HELM.

This is a senior functional leadership role that carries significant responsibility and requires a deep understanding of the global Styrene market, coupled with a strategic mindset and strong relationship management skills.

Your tasks:

In this functional and mentoring leadership position, you put your entrepreneurial mindset into play across the following tasks:

• Take full P&L responsibility for the global Styrene business, ensuring profitability and strategic growth
• Lead negotiations with key suppliers relevant across multiple regions, ensuring favorable terms for global and regional customers
• Manage global risks, including hedging strategies between regions to protect against market volatility and ensure consistent performance
• Utilize data analytics to provide accurate price forecasting and market insights, enabling informed decision-making.
• Lead arbitrage trading initiatives as well as detect and exploit global arbitrage opportunities to maximize profitability
• Drive sustainability efforts within the Styrene business, including the screening and implementation of bio- and recycling projects globally
• Provide full functional leadership to regional Styrene teams, mentoring and guiding them towards success

Your profile:

• Ideally, 5 years of experience in regional or global Styrene management
• A minimum of 10 years in regional or global base chemical management, with a proven track record of success
• Extensive experience in navigating the dynamics of the US, European, and Asian markets
• Strong analytical aptitude, with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends
• Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate with key stakeholders
