At a GlanceThe Employee Relations Coordinator is primarily responsible for providing administrative support and guidance regarding human resources policy, procedures and employment best practice support for employees and managers. As an entry level position the Employee Relations Coordinator also supports the objectives of Human Resources and works closely with the Human Resources Business Partners to support the business.
Work Type: Remote
Location: Tulsa, OK
Duration: Contract up to 6 months or more
This position is expected to be filled in a work location that is within the states of Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma or Texas.
What You Will DoThe following items represent the essential functions and accountabilities for this position. The below will be performed with oversight and collaboration with the Employee Relations Specialist, Senior.
  • Provides administrative support to management regarding employee issues.
  • Interprets policy and procedures consistently and objectively.
  • Assists in coaching to management and employees regarding challenging work situations, management/employee conflict, peer relations, and allegations of discrimination or harassment.
  • Assists with counseling managers and employees regarding disciplinary or personnel issues.
  • Conducts investigations regarding policy or EEO complaints as needed.
  • Provides regular status updates to employees and managers regarding any open issues until matter is resolved.
  • Maintains appropriate records/files of investigations.
  • Assists management regarding termination process by identifying opportunities and areas of concern requiring follow up.
  • Performs administrative unemployment claims duties. May attend unemployment hearings.
  • Conducts exit interviews and summarizes findings.
What You Need
  • Employment Law knowledge preferred.
  • Able to handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.
  • Able to effectively build and maintain positive working relationships with all levels of employees.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work at a high pace, with competing, and changing priorities.
  • Effective interpersonal skills including strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform daily administrative tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office product knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • 1 - 3 years Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Experience working with employee relations issues, talent management, recruiting and/or payroll preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Office preferred.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Spanish speaking a plus.
