Helpmate, Inc., a domestic violence agency in Asheville, NC, seeks to hire a full-time Bilingual Intake Specialist. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Case Management Coordinator. Fluency and strong communication in both English and Spanish, detail orientation, organization, and time management skills are required. The Bilingual Intake Specialist will provide in-person intake and hotline support to survivors of domestic violence and other abuse at the Buncombe County Family Justice Center. Duties will include communication of highly detailed information to people in crisis, database entry, and coordination of services among multiple providers. Candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or 2 years’ experience in social work or related field, with preference for experience in domestic violence or related field, or a commensurate combination of work and experience.
Base rate is $22.15/hour, with additional pay incentives for up to 10 years’ relevant experience, resulting in a maximum range of $24.71/hour.
