Hempfield Behavioral Health is Hiring an Office Administrator Near Harrisburg, PA

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily office operations and providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage phone systems, including answering and directing calls
  • Maintain and update calendars, schedule appointments, and meetings
  • Perform general clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and scanning
  • Ensure front desk reception is covered at all times
  • Manage and organize office files both electronically and in hard copy
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail
  • Processing medical billing (managed care, medical assistance) and monitoring payments
  • Maintaining billing records
  • General office maintenance (supplies, light cleaning, coordinating & scheduling repairs/contractors as needed)
  • Assisting with new program start up logistics
  • Assisting with annual licensing for various programs
  • Manage inn reservations (2 locations via VRBO and Airbnb)
  • Manage website and social media
  • Occasional travel to other locations (approximately once per month)

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an administrative role
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent phone etiquette and verbal/written communication skills
  • Proficient in using various office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience in front desk operations is a plus
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Experience in marketing & social media preferred

Although we are willing to train the right person, we would prefer someone with experience or formal training for this position with our company. The ideal candidate will have some education related to office management, but the minimum educational requirements for this job include a high school diploma or GED. An associate’s degree in medical billing and coding would be a big plus.
