What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program, Special Events, & Sports Assistant position at HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP?
Reports To: Assistant Director of Parks & Recreation
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist the Assistant Director and Program Coordinator in planning, and implementing Parks & Recreation programs, special events and sports.
- Ensure storage areas and equipment are well maintained, organized and have an appropriate amount of supplies.
- Assist with operations of departmental software, including trouble shooting users problems and processing registrations.
- Work collaboratively with staff to maintain a safe and fun environment, including keeping facilities clean.
- Provide support for Parks & Recreation or Township events.
- Assist with department marketing efforts.
- Serve as a Hempfield Parks & Recreation ambassador and role model.
- Be proactive in all assigned responsibilities.
- Practices open and positive communication.
- Have a growth mind set which includes being flexible and adaptable, learning new things, and a desire to always improve.
- Attendance at staff meetings and trainings.
- Provide other services and perform other duties as requested by full time Hempfield Township Parks & Recreation Staff.
