Overview:
Hendricks Investments, a property management company in downtown State College, is currently looking for a motivated Leasing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate administrative tasks, data entry, and familiarity with Fair Housing regulations. Responsibilities:
- Manage the leasing process from initial contact to lease signing
- Conduct property tours for potential residents and provide detailed information about available units
- Process lease applications, conduct background checks, and verify references
- Coordinate lease signings and move-ins, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately
- Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track leasing activities
- Uphold excellent customer service standards and respond to inquiries promptly
- Assist in marketing efforts to attract new tenants and retain current residents
- Uphold knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely unit turnovers and maintenance requests

Requirements:
- Previous experience in real estate administrative roles or leasing positions preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and data entry skills
- Knowledge of contract management and upselling techniques
- Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and guidelines
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
