SUMMARY Hennepin Healthcare is hiring a Staff Nurse RN (1.0 FTE: 5 days/week, 8 hour shifts) for our Cancer Center in downtown Minneapolis to work day shift. This role will focus on Radiation Therapy. ***This position is currently Monday-Friday day hours but may expand to include evenings and weekends as we grow. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible external candidates (current employees and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible). RESPONSIBILITIES Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by: - Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health - Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care - Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response - Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others - Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care - Educating patient on their disease process - Assuring continuity of care - Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being
