Job Summary And QualificationsAt Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, our PAT Registered Nurses ensure that appropriate portions of Outpatient and Inpatient nursing assessments of the patient are completed, standard of care initiated and all necessary consent forms signed. In addition to showing courtesy, compassion, and respect to all individuals, you will also exhibit excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers. - You will assure all lab work, EKG, and x-rays are obtained, and initiate the PAT Protocol
- Our nursing staff is expected to present themselves in a professional manner
- As a PAT RN, organizing/prioritizing pre-operative teaching for a routine day in the preadmissions area is a key responsibility
- You must function in an organized and time conscious manner
- You will initiate/document preoperative and discharge planning and patient teaching involving patient/significant other
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
- Current BLS certification
