Henry Ford Health - Careers Careers is Hiring a Voice Services Field Technician | Full Time Near Rochester, MI

DESCRIPTION:

The Voice Services Field Technician is responsible for day-to-day operations/support for Voice Services at Henry Ford Health. This position supports end users throughout the health system and requires travel to various sites within the health system. This position requires daily contact with end users at various levels and requires travel to various sites within the Henry Ford Health.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for resolving or working with other members on the team to resolve voice incidents for end users in the health system.
  • Working on Moves, Add, Change (MAC) requests for end users at Henry Ford Health; often being the customer facing interface with IT.
  • Primarily focused on providing support for end user(s), departments, or specific sites related to their Voice devices and applications. For example, physical phones, (Avaya/Cisco) computers or iPhones using softphone software.
  • Ability to do basic programing and support for the voice systems and software.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
  • Some college, or 1-2 years of vocational technical training, or an Information Technology/Support industry certification preferred.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in health care Information Technology, Support Services, IT Service Management (Service Desk, Incident Management, Request Management, or Problem Management), required. Experience using ITSM tools like Service Now preferred.
  • Experience with voice or data networking is desirable.
  • The individual should have good communication skills and able to take direction well.
  • Experience with voice or data networking is desirable. A strong aptitude or desire to learn and grow in the technology space supporting voice enterprise communication platforms.
  • Must be self-directed and can adapt to sudden changes.
  • Must have strong customer facing skills.
  • This position requires face-to-face contact with end users to identify and resolve their issues.
  • Must be highly collaborative and able to work with different organizations and teams.
  • Capable of working independently and can effectively communicate with leaders, users, and technical colleagues.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently under deadline pressure.
  • Ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously.
