GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Clinical Tech is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients with supervision by department nursing staff and/or physicians.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

High school diploma or equivalent and at least one of the following:

Current nursing student who has minimally completed two semesters; LPN, EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assistant program completion; Certification in Phlebotomy;

Previous Clinical Tech experience.

Effective verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills.

Ability to recognize differences in care of adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups.

Experience in an acute care setting, preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

Valid BLS certification or obtained during Patient Care Orientation.
