Nurse Supervisor RN - Ambulatory Clinic for Hematology/Oncology - Jackson
Full Time 40 hours - Day Shift. clinic hours between 7am - 6pm. 8 hour shifts
Henry Ford Jackson Hematology Oncology is a fast paced, patient focused environment that strives to provide an exceptional experience every time. Attention to detail, professional communication skills, and ability to work with a variety of team members and roles are key attributes. We have 13 providers, 44 clinical team members, and 20 clerical support team members to serve our patients in our office and infusion center. The office is open Monday-Thursday from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm, Friday from 7:00 am - 5:30 pm, and Saturday from 7:30 am - 10:00 am.
Ideal candidate would be familiar with Oncology/Hematology, Ambulatory/clinic environment experience or inpatient hospital experience. Minimum of 2 years RN experience including leadership responsibilities. Customer service and EPIC experience preferred.

GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Nurse Manager or Administration, assumes accountability for a clinic/department with multiple staff members (i.e., RNs, MAs, LPNs, etc.). Provides first line management responsibilities including clinical leadership and supervisory support to an assigned clinic/department. Performs duties of a Registered Nurse in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and families. Works in partnership with the Nurse Manager, the health care team and medical group leaders to ensure a quality practice setting that supports professional nursing practice and quality patient care. Demonstrates clinical competence. Participates in planning and budget development.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field required. Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory Orientation. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel. Two to three (2-3) years of nursing experience in a clinical environment. Leadership experience preferred. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy.
