Henry Investment Group is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Flower Mound, TX
HIG’s HR Department operates as a shared service for our portfolio companies. This employee will work 100% of the time in our Flower Mound office Monday to Friday. Due to unrelated scheduling conflicts, it will likely be mid-June before in person interviews take place.
Who is most likely to enjoy this challenge?
- A true HR Generalist. Each day, you may be answering onboarding, health insurance, unemployment, coaching, leadership, policy, or regulatory questions--just to name a few
- 2 years of recent ADP Workforce Now administrator experience, and 3 years of HR experience
- Experienced in working at very small, small, and medium companies and comfortable working across a variety of industries. Our portfolio companies include everything from portable restrooms to windmills to restaurants and more
- A team player who works well with a small team's shared responsibilities. We are currently a team of 3 but are lucky to have managerial contacts and advocates across our dozens of locations
- At your core, you like learning and growing within HR. As the department manager, that is one of main goals for my team. Additionally, we want to be able to provide our locations the tools to handle day-to-day challenges and enhance their strategic use of HR
- Someone who can reimagine a current process and make it better. We may (or may not) have the framework in place, but we will constantly need to re-evaluate and ensure what we have is working for our companies and operators
- Comfortable navigating DOL, EEOC, O*net, and other similar sites and has created policies and processes completely from scratch. Experience revising previous policies is great, but due to the unique nature of our corporate structure, this position often requires starting from scratch
- Exposure to job sourcing. This role was previously focused on acquisitions and may have a transition period to fully become an HR Generalist role
- Adaptable to changing priorities
- Highly comfortable and proficient on PCs and with the Microsoft Suite
