Henry Schein is Hiring a Financial Analyst II Near Melville, NY

This position is responsible for the financial control of Healthcare Specialties Group. Provide financial support through the creation, analysis and interpretation of financial data and work closely with Healthcare Specialties Group leadership to manage the financial forecast and operating plan.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare

Create and monitor financial results:

  • Work with the Sr Financial Analysts and Manager of Finance to assist with financial reporting and planning within the Healthcare Specialties Group.
  • Prepare and issue monthly internal financial reports including variance analysis, trend analysis, business metrics and commentary for expenses, capital and headcount.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations including various graphs and charts for business review discussions with the management team.
  • Very good knowledge of financial systems to download/upload data and reconcile.
  • Prepare expense allocations to business units and understand the drivers.

Analyze

Source, analyze and interpret data to report results and understand the main drivers:

  • Recognize and investigate financial/business issues and communicate to management on a timely basis.
  • Create expense trend analysis to assist in increasing profitability and overall cost control.
  • Integral part of special projects and related presentations

Review

Review trends and prepare analyses for diverse functions:

  • Review account and trend analyses and reconciliations and question the results.
  • Review various expense allocations to business units and question unusual trends.
  • Review forecast and budget submissions from local business units for accuracy and completeness.
  • Team member involvement can include the following areas: Budgeting, Forecasting, Monthly Close, Expense Allocations to Business entities, and Capital and Headcount reporting.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel and very good understanding of other MS Office applications
  • Proficient in JDE and Hyperion/Oracle systems
  • Ability to work with confidential and highly sensitive information
  • Strong ability to understand and communicate financial concepts and terminology
  • Very good understanding of financial processes (Close, Budget, Forecast, etc.)
  • Very good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good presentation skills.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Typically 3 to 5 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically less than 10%. Hybrid role; in office 1-2x per week. No special physical demands required.

The posted range for this position is $61,085-$106,898, which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.

This position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range.
