- Contract Drawings and Record Keeping: Prepare contract drawings, maintain records, and perform other statistical tasks.
- Technical and Engineering Drawings: Produce and maintain both 2D and 3D CAD drawings using the required software.
- Design Development: Develop intricate design details.
- Drawing Verification: Check all drawings thoroughly prior to release.
- Coordination: Ensure smooth coordination with designers, drafters, and engineers within and across disciplines.
- Clash Detection: Perform clash detection of models with other discipline models.
- Engineering Review: Participate in formal engineering review processes.
- Onsite Verification: Verify onsite conditions and dimensions related to existing facilities.
- Design Coordination: Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines to develop complete drawing packages.
- Quality Control: Demonstrate meticulous quality control of your own work.
- Microstation Proficiency: Highly skilled in using Microstation for CAD design and drafting.
- BIM Coordination: Experience with BIM coordination and familiarity with ProjectWise is considered an asset.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiar with industry or regulatory standards, regulations, and codes pertinent to engineering design in New York.
- Detailed Design Skills: Capable of developing detailed design elements from various sources such as site studies, vendor drawings, catalog data, engineering sketches, reference drawings, and input from other disciplines.
- Relationship Management: Proven ability to maintain positive relationships with clients, team members, and individuals from other departments to maximize cooperation and deliverables.
- Educational Background: B.S. degree in Engineering.
