Our client is seeking a dedicated Production Manager to oversee operations within the Manufacturing Division, focusing on packaging. This role involves direct supervision of all employees in the manufacturing department, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Plant Superintendent, the Production Manager will play a crucial role in coordinating activities, improving production efficiency, and maintaining product quality.

- Coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and product quality meet specifications.
- Collaborate with production team members to streamline departmental activities.
- Recommend improvements in production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Maintain set standards for quality, efficiency, and production levels; communicate these standards to team members.
- Directly train team members in machinery and equipment operations.
- Inspect machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance; liaise with maintenance for preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Manage inventories of materials such as sheets, inks, and other converting supplies.
- Compile, store, and retrieve production data; inspect work in progress and finished goods.
- Interpret factory cards and direct workflow; resolve work-related issues promptly.
- Review errors and customer complaints; assist in corrective and preventive actions.
- Analyze production and operating reports; resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to minimize costs and prevent delays.
- Communicate effectively across shifts to avoid operational disruptions.
- Conduct performance evaluations for subordinate staff; keep management informed of any performance issues.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels, including customers, vendors, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in computer software such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with operating various office machines.
- Basic proficiency in writing routine emails and correspondence.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
- 1 to 3 years of supervisory experience in the corrugated industry is highly preferred.
