Job Description:

• Pick up medications for residents that are called into the pharmacy
• Transport residents to doctor appointments and Social Services
• Help maintain the self-respect, personal dignity and physical safety of each resident.
• Accurately complete all information on Facility Travel Logs on daily basis
• Be familiar with Resident Bill of Rights and assist residents in exercising these rights.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and adhere to requirements of HIPAA Be familiar with and able to apply all the facility's accident, fire safety, safety rules, and emergency procedures.
• Immediately report any accident/incident to the Administrator
• Work cooperatively with all other staff and relate favorably to residents and families.
• Cooperate with monitoring and licensing agencies.
• Assure careful treatment of Adult Care Home equipment, vehicles, and utilization of supplies.
• Responsible for reading and adhering to all Assisted Living regulations and facility policies.
• Participate in job-related continuing education.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Access to Protected Health Information:
• The transporter shall not have access to a resident's protected health information unless required for safe transport.

Qualification Requirements:

• Must have valid North Carolina Driving License and clean driving record
• Satisfactory background check required
• Be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Free of tuberculosis disease that poses a direct threat to the health and safety of others documented by the 2-step method or chest x-ray if allergic to serum.
• Must be CPR certified

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $7.00 - $8.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

• Van driver: 1 year (Preferred)
