Pay for this position is: $58,468.80 / year

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage staff performance by clearly defining job responsibilities and standards, providing clear, thorough, and timely feedback; and addressing performance problems promptly
  • Train and development the supervisor and management skills of mid-level managers in the program
  • Support employees in the creation and implementation of their development plan; after three months and annually thereafter
  • Assure employees participate in Agency required and OPWDD mandated training
  • Embrace and connect the agencys non-profit mission, vision, values and workplace priorities; and their relationship to the staffs work
  • Know and follow the policies in the Employee Handbook and Supervisors Manual and implements accordingly
  • Conduct monthly staff meetings; including preparation of agenda
  • Run monthly management and team meetings working with the assistant manager
  • Develops and oversees implementation of individuals' program plans, including but not limited to: habilitation plans, behavior support plans, individual plans of protection, and individual service plans focused on assisting in improving their quality of life in a way that has meaning for each of them
  • Oversee qualitiative and regulatory compliance documentation
  • Ensure fire safety including with fire drills, testing alarms and fire extinguishers
  • Be a primary contact for family members, clinicians and employees from other departments, especially for peoples Individual Service Plans and integrating goals into residential habilitation plans
  • Administer medications in accordance with the medication policy
  • Complete agency trainings, in-service sessions and other staff education sessions, implementing new procedures and employing SCIP-R techniques as needed
  • Maintain site facilities, equipment and property to agency standards
  • Complete COMPASS quality tasks and outcomes including remediation
  • Responsible for oversight of the budget associated with the program; including petty cash, OTPS, payroll hours, community allowance, and household spending
  • Assist in the screening of possible candidates for residential placement as needed
Qualifications:
  • Prefer Bachelor's degree in human services but not required
  • Minimum one year experience in direct support is required and supervisor/manager experience preferred
  • Strong skills in organization and communication both verbal and written
  • Ability to stay objective and make sensitive management decisions especially for personnel challenges
  • Ability to create and maintain a positive, inclusive culture based upon respect, to meet the needs of a diverse staff, build organizational pride and inspire high performance
  • Ability to break down clinical care plans in ways that employees can understand and implement
  • Strong respect for diverse backgrounds of people supported, their families, the staff and other agencies
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, monitor and evaluate needs and progress at the site
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Valid drivers license that meets Heritage Christian motor vehicle standards
  • Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds and assist people who need transfers
