Primary Purpose

On-site Environmental Assistance Program

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Assist customer onsite with waste management program such as waste collection, bulking, waste area inspections.
  • Assist Onsite Chemist in the movement and segregation of chemical storage containers by hazard class.
  • Utilize thorough knowledge of storing and processing procedures based on Customer's SOPs and Heritage's protocols.
  • Develop good client relationships by effectively communicating with customers
  • Communicate effectively with project manager regarding customer's needs.
  • Perform basic spill cleanup and housekeeping duties.
  • Provide general labor of electronic scrap.
  • Collects hazardous and non-hazardous materials from various onsite locations and transports via company van to waste collection areas.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Some science college courses preferred.

Experience: 1 year of related experience and 40 hour HAZWOPER Training completion is preferred.

Requirements: Due to potential exposure to atmospheres/waste/materials, this position requires that you must always be able to be clean shaven to wear a respirator for your protection. Must have a valid driver's license. Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Record search to company standards.

Knowledge and Abilities: This is a safety sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function. Good working knowledge of EPA, DOT and OSHA regulations required. Good knowledge of general industry practices required. Ability to lift 60 pounds. Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including respirator. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

A post offer drug screen will be required.
