Job Summary : Assist the Maintenance Manager with daily operations of the Maintenance Department.

Essential Functions :

• Responsible for assisting Maintenance Manager with daily operations, including prioritizing, scheduling, and controlling a predictive maintenance program to maintain production machinery and equipment in proper working condition
• Efficiently servicing and maintaining production machinery in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures
• Supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in maintenance and mechanical operations
• Inspecting jobs in process and at completion to ensure that standards of workmanship and safety are maintained
• Maintaining inventories of maintenance materials, supplies, and repair parts at required levels
• Periodically reviewing inventory for proper upkeep at plant facilities
• Recommending, planning, and implementing equipment needs to improve production efficiency and / or cost reduction procedures

Skill / Education :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years' maintenance, mechanical, welding, and fabrication experience
• Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, RCRA, and DOT regulations
• Management experience
• Computer literacy
• Industrial Engineering training preferred

Must wear all required protective equipment, and work in an outdoor environment and withstand exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures and must pass a company physical and drug screen.

Must be able to concentrate for long periods of time.
