The Role...The Director of Sales is responsible for achieving individual new business revenue while managing and driving overall sales and profitability for the company.
The Team Member We Need:The ideal candidate possesses key prospecting strategies to identify prospects and initiate the first outreach with potential customers, but also knows how to mentor and lead a sales team to success.
Responsibilities Include But are Not Limited To:
- Calling and working with the appropriate sales team member on completing the correct needs analysis on prospective customers throughout the city
- Managing the development and maintenance of strong pipelines for all sales team members
- Reporting and communicating customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products and services.
- Continuously improving sales performance through feedback
- Analyzing the territory/ market’s potential, tracking sales and maintaining status reports
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred (Horticulture or similar major)
- 10 years sales management experience in the Green Industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of computer applications
- Ability to create and communicate effective sales presentations both written and orally
- Profit-Driven-ability to find ways to cut costs, improve efficiency and increase margins
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Effective problem solving skills; ability to handle adversity
