Herzog is Hiring a Compliance/Safety Analyst Near Joseph, MO

Overview

HTSI is seeking a Compliance/Safety Analyst in St. Joseph, MO to join our team. This position reports to the Director of Compliance and assists with the company-wide regulatory compliance. This position supports the Director of Safety with company-wide safety initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

*This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.

  • Serve as compliance lead for FRA, FTA, OSHA, and State Regulatory file maintenance.
  • Maintain FRA, FTA, and OSHA inspections and citations in a database.
  • Evaluate, monitor, analyze, and identify all regulatory compliance and non-compliance issues and track corrective actions.
  • Manages internal and external safety and compliance reporting.
  • Supports all Safety initiatives.
  • Updates and maintains all regulatory plans.
  • Assist with internal and external safety and compliance audits.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations and illustrative documents for the Safety and Compliance Team.
  • Data entry, record keeping, and document control.
  • Assist in preparing and auditing compliance reports and submittals.
  • Schedule meetings, conference calls, and video meetings for safety and compliance teams.
  • Attend meetings, regulatory audits, and training, as assigned.
  • Ensure the security of confidential information.
  • Regular and consistent engagement, participation, and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
  • Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel is required occasionally with limited notice at times.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma
  • 2-plus years in transportation compliance preferred.
  • Industry experience with FRA compliance preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience with compliance software preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must.
  • Time-management skills are essential; must possess a natural sense of urgency and work well with pressure and deadlines.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible and adaptive to change.
  • Possess a high level of ingenuity.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and, ability to interact with all levels of employees and prospects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and advanced computer literacy skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Subject to a pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
  • Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen.
  • Complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
