Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Manager and the immediate supervision of the Lead Technologist, performs imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision. Assumes responsibility for designated areas as assigned. Performs a variety of Nuclear Medicine procedures that will require independent judgment. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist supports and contributes to the service excellence mission of Enloe Medical Center and the Nuclear Medicine Department. MinimumEDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE: California State Certification in Nuclear Medicine DesiredTwo years experience in Nuclear Medicine in an acute-care setting. Licenses / CertificationsCalifornia State Certification in Nuclear Medicine required, effective 1989. Current approved CPR certification. Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesDemonstrates a thorough knowledge of human structure and function, patient care, principles of radiopharmaceuticals, quality assurance, radiation physics, radiation protection, radiobiology, and specialized techniques as required for a Nuclear Medicine technologist. Must be intelligent and self motivated. Excellent communication skills and problem solving ability are required. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
