JOB SUMMARY
HexArmor will launch a new PPE safety category in footwear. To this end, we seek a highly energetic, experienced, well-organized professional to lead the category launch and growth. As a Footwear Program Manager, you will work with the VP of Business Development to onboard the footwear category and subsequently manage the category forward.
  • The new position will support the Vice President of Business Development in developing and executing a business plan to commercialize safety footwear in North America (NA) based on a comprehensive understanding of the industrial safety footwear market.
  • This role will help define project and category objectives followed by a thorough growth plan that outlines tasks, timelines, and required resources.
  • A critical function will be to coordinate and communicate with the defined project team and company stakeholders to execute on defined launch and subsequent annual objectives.
  • This person will manage program risks and issues and monitor progress to ensure the project meets its stated goals and timelines.
  • Finally, a key responsibility will be working with the Footwear product manager to execute the defined launch product strategy and ongoing product lifecycle and identify and validate key development opportunities.
LOCATION
  • Onsite at HexArmor Headquarters in Grand Rapids, MI
    • Travel to UVEX HQ/factory locations (Germany, Italy, and Vietnam)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Planning: supports ongoing category business plan development, including product line definition and pricing, operational model, go-to-market, and financial plan
  • Product Launch: Develop and execute go-to-market plans for new safety footwear products, including product positioning, pricing strategy, distribution channels, sales tools and training, and marketing campaigns. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to generate awareness, drive demand, and achieve sales targets.
  • Detail 5-year goals, objectives, and KPIs for measuring the health of the category, taking corrective actions when necessary.
  • Product Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies for safety footwear that align with market needs, regulatory requirements, and company objectives. Identify market trends, customer insights, and competitive threats to inform product roadmap and portfolio decisions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment and execution of product initiatives. Foster strong relationships and communication channels to facilitate collaboration and drive results.
  • Partnerships: Work closely with supply partners (UVEX) to execute the defined and agreed-upon category program successfully.
  • Leverage available tools/systems to assess, collect, maintain, and analyze data; generate interim progress reports, final reports, evaluations, and other information related to the project(s) or program(s).
  • Performs timely company communication regarding program progress, timing, and performance.
  • Works closely with our channel team to support distributor partners' pre-launch and post-launch needs and requirements.
  • Responsible for annual forecast and resource planning to grow the business.
  • May represent the organization at key industry events, associations, and trade shows as HexArmor's key spokesperson for safety footwear.
  • Provide subject matter expertise supporting sales team playbook and customer opportunities, including training.
  • Supports the organization's development and management of annual budgets and performs periodic cost and productivity analyses.
  • Directs, manages, and oversees the daily administrative components of the program(s)/project(s).
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned (temporary product management functions)
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Entrepreneurial, Management, Engineering, or experience equivalent required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required:
    • 5 plus years of prior work experience (project/product management, marketing, launch management, business development, etc.)
    • Project management (2-3 years of experience)
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
    • Domestic and international travel (10-20%)
    • Teamwork skills and project leadership
    • Effective communication skills
    • Develop and maintain recordkeeping procedures
  • Preferred:
    • Adobe Suite, Illustrator
    • Tableau
    • Experience in product launches, revenue generation
    • Financing, pricing experience
