Position Overview

Reporting to the VP of Pricing and Commerical Excellence, the main function of this Business Process Excellence (BPE) role is an outcome-driven leader to support Hexion’s global commercial team to achieve current and forward-looking business goals. This role will drive operational excellence with cross-functional teams to ensure successful business outcomes. You will work with Sales and Functional Leaders to instill sales process discipline, and collaborate across roles and segments to proactively seek solutions to manage change within the organization. As a trusted advisor to the Commercial Leadership team, the focus of this role is to be a driver of sales discipline and execution excellence, as well as a sales coach, accelerating business growth by translating insights into actions. This position is a strategic contributor operationalizing strategy, driving growth, increasing seller productivity and driving cultural transformation. Job Responsibilities

Drive Sales Process Discipline

  • Develop and implement innovative commercial processes tied to key KPI which enable increases in revenue and market share.
  • Propose business process improvements through workflow analysis methods.
  • Instill sales process discipline, adherence to standards and excellence in execution or pipeline health.
  • Ensure consistency and excellence in the sales process within the business units and regions. Shares best practices within and across teams.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to advocate and support effective and rigorous usage of common and/or new processes and tools developed for the wider business to improve internal and external communications and engagements.

Develop Business Partnership and Efficiency:

  • Collaborate with key internal cross functional stakeholders to generate an enterprise-wide aligned foundational effort.
  • Develop solutions and alternatives to enhance commercial team’s operational policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Improve awareness and clarity of Commercial Excellence programs among sales teams or partners to adopt plans and to create new habits.
  • Consolidates input from the supported area into the feedback loop. Communicates sales team needs to key support functions.
  • Plan and coordinate global sales summits, cross-functional activities, and interactive team workshops.
  • Develop and implement global sales training program, including definition and refinement of training curriculum, creation of training materials in collaboration with internal & external partners, and facilitation of training sessions.

    Sales Coaching for Growth and Transformation

    • Optimize sales team processes and capabilities within the supported segment. Assesses customer/partner needs and applies methodologies and resources to transform seller capabilities, sales processes, and/or partner engagement processes.
    • Coach and partner with sales team on executing growth strategy and key priorities. Engage sales team to become more effective coaches to their sellers.
    • Improves awareness and clarity of business growth strategy among sales teams and managers. Intake and contribute to adopting plans to create new habits among sales teams or partners.
    • Help sales team to achieve increased individual and team capability, employee satisfaction, and collaborative selling efforts.
    • Motivate commercial teams and boost morale through incentives, recognition, and other tactics.

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • 4-year degree in business or related field required
  • MBA preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10 years’ experience in sales, sales operations/management, account management, program management, business development, marketing, consulting, or a related field
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience using data to drive business outcomes or inform business decisions.
  • 10 years of experience managing relationships with stakeholders, clients, and/or customers.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to think strategically.
