Position Summary:

As a Security Engineer at HeyGen, you will play a critical role in protecting our systems and data from threats. Your expertise will be essential in implementing and maintaining security measures, monitoring our infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will also focus on production security and compliance, ensuring our systems are robust and meet all necessary legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Secure Systems Development: As a Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building secure systems, developing, deploying, and maintaining software solutions that enhance our security posture.
• Collaboration and Design: Leverage your strong engineering skills to collaborate within the Security team and with cross-functional partners to design and develop secure software solutions and infrastructure.
• Detective and Corrective Controls: Enhance our detective and corrective controls, and partner with teams within Security and across HeyGen to ensure robust threat mitigation.
• Identity Systems: Develop and manage identity and access management solutions, significantly impacting our engineering and research stack.
• Developer and Research Tooling: Focus on improving developer and research productivity while delivering robust functionality and controls required by IT and Security.
• Infrastructure Security: Implement and maintain robust security measures for our infrastructure, ensuring all systems are protected against threats.
• Infrastructure Controls: Develop state-of-the-art infrastructure controls, ensuring real-time visibility and enforcement of secure infrastructure practices.
• Implement Security Measures: Implement security measures to defend against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in our systems.
• Production Security: Ensure the security of production systems, including the secure deployment and maintenance of applications and services.
• Compliance: Closely work with compliance team with industry and regulatory standards such as GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.
• Collaboration: Work closely with IT and development teams to ensure the secure development and deployment of products.
• Monitoring: Monitor system logs and network traffic for suspicious activity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in a security engineer role.
• Familiarity with tools and methodologies used for code review, security testing, and vulnerability assessments. 
• Familiarity with web-related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service-Oriented Architectures) and network/web-related protocols.
• Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and technologies.
• Proven track record of developing high-quality, scalable, and secure applications. 
• Proficient in scripting or programming languages like Python, Bash, or Golang.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant professional certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), etc.
• Experience with cloud security best practices (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of data protection regulations and frameworks.
