HFI-Assure Fertility Partners of Houston is Hiring a Lab Technician - Weekend PRN Near Houston, TX

Job Description

We are actively recruiting and interviewing for a PRN Lab Technician that will assist our laboratory in a variety of duties on the weekends.

The position will include administrative tasks such as data collection, data entry, ordering proper supplies, entering/updating patient records.

The position will also include various tasks associated with assisting in our Laboratories, including (but not restricted to) Procedures’ witnessing, Patient chart scanning and uploading to Electronic Medical Records (EMR); Adding scanned charts to patients’ electronic files; Entering data/information to paper and electronic records (“Accession log”, “Mega-Database / Excel) and other formats. The Lab Information Specialist will also be providing hands-on assistance with Inventory verification procedure (verifying cryopreserved specimens, and all related documentation, and performs updates as needed). Additionally, the Lab Information Specialist may be asked to perform any other laboratory related procedures (or assist to them).

Customer-service oriented, taking initiative to resolve issues in a manner that is consistent with our patient philosophy.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Physical or Biological Science or Medical Laboratory Technology degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • 2 years of college credits with 24 hours documented credits in Chemical, Physical or Biological Sciences or related field from an accredited four-year institution is required.
  • One year prior laboratory experience is required.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with data entry is required.
