HG External is Hiring a Part Time Prep Cook Near Yakima, WA

The Cook’s primary objective is the preparation of food items to ensure high standard of quality and quantity to meet the needs of the residents. You would be handling food in accordance with sanitary standards and recognized food preparation standards.

Part Time Position, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Pay $18.45-21.55 per hour depending on experience

Prep Cook Job Duties:

  • Prepares food, including but not limited to: washing, trimming, cutting, portioning, measuring, mixing and panning;
  • Prepare and cook food for catering events;
  • Provides meals that are properly cooked, tasty, and attractive meeting high standards for quality and presentation and ensuring dietary needs are met;
  • Ensures cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen; and 
  • Performs other related essential duties as required. 

To be successful in the role, you would have:

  • Food Handler’s certification required
  • Prior food service, fast food or restaurant experience
  • Prior experience working with seniors (preferred)
  • Availability that might include evenings, weekends, & holidays
