About the Role:

The Maintenance Supervisor provides excellent customer service to current patients by making building maintenance repairs as well as providing the general upkeep of the facility including its grounds, streets, and equipment.

Under the immediate supervision of the Executive Director, The Maintenance Supervisor must have knowledge of applicable building codes related to the healthcare field and have general knowledge of specialized areas including

• Electrical secondary systems
• Plumbing systems
• Fire system devices and air systems
• Adhere to HIPPA compliance

Job Qualifications:

• 2 years relevant experience in a similar role required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer and communication skills required.
• Must have ability to maintain positive demeanor and clear understanding of professional boundaries with patients.
• Ability to follow directives explicitly, adhere to facility policies, and exercise time management skills.
• Schedule flexibility may be required to accommodate emergencies.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receives and acts upon written work orders or verbal instructions.
• Maintains compliance with DMHA, Life Safety, and kitchen sanitation regulations.
• Performs and documents preventative maintenance tasks per schedule.
• Performs and documents Life Safety Code tasks per schedule.
• Schedules and oversees contracted services performing Life Safety maintenance.
• Replaces worn or damaged parts such as hoses and belts in machines & equipment.
• Repairs or replaces plumbing and plumbing fixtures.
• Repairs or replaces structural components (drywall, ceilings, flooring, doors, trim)
• Assembles furniture and equipment.
• Assures that facility grounds are properly maintained.
• Actively participates in Safety Committee
• Maintains electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems inhouse or with approved vendor.
• Conducts fire safety and disaster preparedness drills.
• Maintains sidewalks, exits, and entrances free of snow and ice.
• Oversees the work of outside vendors to ensure timely and quality service.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Adheres to Joint Commission Requirements including plans for Safety, Security, Fire
• Safety, Hazardous Materials and Waste, Medical Equipment, and Utilities.
• Reports safety hazards to Executive Director or Corporate Maintenance.
• Performs appropriate hand hygiene throughout the shift.
• Uses personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.

Compensation: $22-24/hr
