Salary: $55k-$65k bonus
- Lead and maintain a cohesive team, providing direction and support across all departments throughout the shift to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain authority and accountability for employee relations by regularly communicating work and company information to employees, while seeking their opinions and ideas.
- Follow the weekly schedule to meet production requirements, directing standardizing, product transferring, and tank-changing activities.
- Accurately maintain shift records of receivals and other production activities as required.
- Monitor equipment performance to ensure normal conditions and cleanliness standards are met; provide direction for resolving production issues and seek appropriate help when needed.
- Record accurate entries of goods issued and goods receipts in SAP.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new employees; report and record violations of safety, dress code, and work standards; monitor unauthorized employee absences from workstations.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all plant systems and equipment.
- Attend safety committee meetings on scheduled workdays.
- Enforce safety compliance rules with all employees.
- Set up overtime schedules to ensure necessary manpower coverage.
- Monitor and document progressive discipline procedures, starting with verbal warnings.
- Follow and enforce all safety regulations.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 4 years of experience in a production area of the plant, preferably within a food beverage facility.
- 1 year of supervisory experience within a production environment.
- Thorough understanding of processing systems and equipment.
- Knowledge of safety-related issues, including compliance with State, Federal, and Local regulations.
- Understanding of supervision, training, and personnel management principles and practices, particularly in a union environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and company computer systems
- Ability to promote a team environment
