PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage parallel projects through the full project lifecycle
- Facilitate the transition from waterfall to Agile practices, providing training, coaching, and mentorship to the application teams.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, risk registers, and other project artifacts.
- Define project scopes, goals and deliverables that support business strategy in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation across multiple projects.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos.
- Identify and resolve project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating as necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, developers, and other functions, to align priorities and ensure project success.
- Continuously improve project management practices and processes to enhance efficiency.
- Manage project interdependencies and implement or make recommendations on mitigation options to upper management
- Proactively manage changes in project/program scope, identify potential crises, and prepare contingency plans.
- Determine and assess the need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitment in collaboration with senior management.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Organize project post mortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements to pay attention to for future projects
- Coach/mentor team members on Project Management skills
Education / Experience / Background:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT project management
- Proven experience successfully leading and managing parallel complex IT projects
- Experience in working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Strong experience in managing onshore and offshore teams
- Strong background in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Expertise in facilitating Agile transformations and driving cultural change.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in digital transformation projects
- Proficient in project management tools and techniques (ex: Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet).
- Excellent leadership, communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
- Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
- Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
- Experience in leading contract project teams
- Experience in digital transformation project
Required Certification / Licenses / Training
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP) is a plus.
- Scrum Master certification
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Local Position (Paramus, NJ) with remote work allowed up to 3 days a week.
- Time flexibility required
