High Desert Chiropractic and Wellness is Hiring a Chiropractic Assistant/Receptionist Near Albuquerque, NM

PART TIME: We are looking for a qualified, energetic medical office receptionist/chiropractic assistant. Experience helpful but not required. Multitasker a must! As a medical office receptionist/chiropractic assistant, you should demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform well in stressful situations. The position requires daily multitasking and quick thinking.

Office hours: M-W-F 8:30 -12 and 1:45 - 5:15 but work hours very slightly and are negotiable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the front office
  • Patient scheduling
  • Accept payments and explain charges
  • Answer phones
  • Collections
  • Patient communication
  • Maintain medical records
  • Cleaning
  • Provide informative material for patients
  • Ensure compliance with current healthcare regulations, medical laws and high ethical standards (HIPPA)

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a medical office receptionist
  • Computer knowledge and proficiency
  • Ability to handle medical records discreetly
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to multitask and perform well in stressful situations
  • Communication skills and customer service orientation with a variety of people

Assist chiropractor with patient care:

- Room patients

- Various physiotherapy treatments (US, ES, IST, laser, ice, heat)

- Clean rooms after patients

- Keep rooms stocked

Front office duties:

- Answer phones, check patients in/out

- Pull and file charts

- Make new patient charts

- Restock office forms

Other duties:

- Maintain and order supplements/braces

- Maintain therapy suite

- Clean windows and mirrors

- Clean exam and therapy tables

- Straighten reception room

- Empty trash

- Clean restrooms, vacuum and dust

- Water plants

- On sight laundry for towels and patient gowns

- Hold/play with infants and children as needed

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
