Job Title: HRBP-HR Business PartnerLocation: Houston, TXShift: DaysDuration: Contract-FulltimePosition Summary
  • The HRBP-HR Business Partner acts as the primary contact for employees to answer general human resource questions, process forms, and gather employee data and analytics.
Essential Duties & Functions
  • Assist and coordinate the daily functions of the human resources department including, employee resignations/terminations, compliance, analytics, reporting, and administrative support.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate person
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Avoids legal challenges by understanding current EEO legislation, enforcing regulations with hiring managers to ensure equal employment opportunity
  • Evaluates job description with hiring manager to ensure qualifications and requirements are accurate, as needed and coordinate next steps with the HRBP’s and compensation
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and procedures to maintain compliance
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Accomplishes organizational and human resources objectives by completing assigned tasks, as needed
  • Utilizes an energetic, proactive creative approach with excellent personal, organizational, and customer-service skills
  • Develops, evaluates, or reviews plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Training (minimum Requirements)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • SHRM-CP a plus
Required Knowledge, Skills, And/or Abilities (minimum Requirements)
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, community officials and the general public
  • Prior extensive experience sourcing candidates from a variety of social networking sites
  • Must be able to work with ambiguity or with minimal information
  • Ability to work in a faced-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to remain calm under stressful conditions
  • Excellent customer service with external and internal customers
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Previous experience with Applicant Tracking Software
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications
