Sample Tasks

• Collaborate with business analysts and developers to produce software designs and database solutions
• Formulate program specifications and basic prototypes
• Transform software designs and specifications into stable production systems to allow for Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) to operate as a separate Department from the Department of Human Services (DHS)
• Make changes to existing data structures to allow independent use and reporting from existing systems in support of DCT becoming a stand alone department from DHS
• Make changes to existing front end systems to allow for independent use by DCT
• Test code periodically to ensure it produces the desirable results and perform debugging when necessary
• Perform upgrades to make software and systems more secure and efficient
• Collaborate with technical writers to create documentation for user support
• Provide knowledge transfer

Minimum Qualifications

• Five (5) years' experience in Developer/Programmer role
• A Master's degree substitutes for three years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree substitutes for two years, or an Associate's degree substitutes for one year
• Two (2) engagements lasting more than six (6) months in Developer/Programmer role

Desired Skills

• Proven experience as a programmer or relevant role
• Ability to program in languages such as .NET, HTML, C , etc.
• Excellent knowledge with relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies
• A detail-oriented approach to work and excellent ability to focus on task completion
• An analytical mindset and critical thinking
• The ability to discover and fix errors in code
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in team settings
