**JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:**

Hospitality Services: The Banquet Department at The Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center is seeking candidates for its Banquet Supervisor position. This position assists in leading on-premise and off-premise events at our conference center.

Responsibilities include:

* Acting as a first point of contact for banquet servers during events

* Working closely with multiple departments within the hotel

* Communicating service initiatives to full time and part time employees

* Assisting in daily operations of the banquet department

* Ensuring that all event rooms are properly set

* All regular duties of a banquet server (serving food and beverages, setting tables and buffet lines, carrying trays, and clearing tables)

* Other duties as assigned

This position will serve and interact with guests attending events at The Penn Stater. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will give top priority to guest satisfaction. Previous food and beverage experience required, previous leadership experience preferred. This position requires working on your feet for an extended period of time. Work hours are various, and include some weekends and holidays. Must be available for PSU home football Saturdays.
