**JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:**

Hospitality Services: The Gardens Restaurant at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center is seeking candidates for its Restaurant Server position.

Responsibilities include:

* Taking orders

* Handling money

* Using a computerized food ordering system

* Verifying patrons' identification to ensure compliance with Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) laws

* Serving food and beverage to guests

* Preparing tables and service-ware

* Clearing tables

* Abiding by food safety and sanitation standards at all times

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work on feet for extended periods of time, lift and carry trays of food, dishes, flatware and glassware. Candidates must possess good communication skills, be outgoing, and give top priority to customer satisfaction. Work hours are various, and include some weekends and holidays.
