Highland Rivers Behavioral Health is a behavioral healthcare agency serving adults, youth, and families with mental health and addictive disease challenges, as well as adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a safety net provider, we offer services to individuals with limited financial resources, veterans, and those with State and Federal benefits. Our services are provided on a sliding fee scale based on income for uninsured individuals and are available in Bartow, Cherokee, Cobb, Fannin, Floyd, Gilmer, Gordon, Haralson, Murray, Paulding, Pickens, Polk, and Whitfield counties.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Therapist role located in Cedartown, GA. The Therapist will be responsible for providing counseling and therapy services to individuals with mental health and addiction challenges, as well as developmental disabilities. Day-to-day tasks include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, facilitating group therapy sessions, and documenting patient progress.

Qualifications

• Experience in providing counseling and therapy services
• Knowledge of mental health and addiction treatment modalities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to conduct assessments and develop treatment plans
• Experience with documentation and progress tracking
• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
• Licensed or working towards licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification
• Experience working with diverse populations and trauma-informed care
