We are currently seeking an upper school math teacher (Algebra II, Financial Algebra, Pre-Algebra). We are looking for teachers who are enthusiastic, comfortable with differentiating instruction for a diverse population, possess effective classroom management skills, and a love for children. Our school places a focus on a challenging academic foundation and Biblical integration in all aspects of education and asks that all teachers model Christ in word and deed.
Duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the curriculum
- Utilize various teaching methods to engage students in the learning process
- Provide individualized instruction to students who require extra assistance
- Assess students' progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the mathematics curriculum
- Participate in extracurricular activities such as tutoring or math clubs
Qualifications:
-A love to teach, especially the Word of God and emulate Jesus’ love always
- A strong commitment to the philosophies and mission of Grace Church as well as the educational philosophies of Highlands Christian Academy Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field
-Master's degree preferred
- Teaching certification or license in Mathematics preferred
- Proficiency in Algebra, Curriculum Development, and Learning Technology
- Experience in tutoring or education administration is a plus
- Knowledge of Special Education principles is beneficial
- Ability to dissect complex mathematical concepts for student understanding
