The Highlands Ranch Metro District is accepting applications for a full-time Sports Field Tech I for the Parks, Recreation and Open Space department. This position performs semi-skilled, skilled, and administrative work in maintaining the District’s sports fields, tennis courts, pickleball courts, batting cages, and Halftime Help Stadium. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWorks under the general supervision of the Park Services Supervisor and receives assignments and direction from Sports Field Tech III.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts or in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to hot, cold, wet and/ or humid conditions, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is moderately noisy.
WORK SCHEDULEGenerally, works four 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during peak seasonal use of parks. During the off-season the work schedule is 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The work schedule will require weekend hours and will vary depending on weather conditions, projects, events, programs, meetings, and staffing levels and will include some evening, early morning, weekend, and overtime hours.
This position is part of the Metro District’s on-call/weekend schedule for snow removal. This position is required to be on-call and work nights and weekends as scheduled by the snow removal leader.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
