ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function.

• Full cycle accounts payable functions, including:
  • Invoice ingestion – helps get invoices into our Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) software solution, and splits invoices with supporting documentation.
  • Invoice voucher entry – ensuring invoices are accurate and processed according to procedures.
  • Payment processing – prepare weekly payment batches, review for accuracy, and ensure all payments are in accordance with procedures.
  • Vendor management – work with vendors and colleagues about new vendor setup and maintenance of existing vendors that include following internal controls for new vendor setup and changes to existing vendors.
  • Customer service – provide support to both colleagues and suppliers by addressing questions and inquiries timely.
• Compare invoices with purchase orders, quantities, prices, terms of payment and other charges.
• Monitor workflow and follow-up with employees about aging invoices.
• Ensure invoices are processed accurately.
• Assess problem invoices and determine the correct course of action to facilitate resolution.
• Perform reconciliation of supplier statements to ensure we can account for all supplier invoices.
• Perform various duties as assigned.

• Assist with developing and cross training within Accounts Payable
• Assist with monthly close activities, as assigned, and needed.

• Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS

An individual qualified for this job must have and maintain the following qualifications:

• Associate degree in accounting preferred.

1-3 years accounts payable and general accounting experience; or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above duties
