TECHNICAL PRODUCT OWNER

SUMMARY

The Technical Product Owner works directly with Business and IT members to ensure platforms and applications are designed, built, and maintained to support Marketing and Commercial programs.
The Technical Product Owner leverages their expertise in digital platforms, applications, technical concepts, and product management to deliver enterprise business value. Working closely with all stakeholders, you will define and manage platform roadmaps and continuously optimize the business applications.

REQUIRED: Deep technical expertise in the Salesforce Cloud platform, specifically in Commerce Cloud (B2B), Digital Experience Cloud, Order Management Cloud, and Service Cloud.

**Must be located in CENTRAL or EASTERN time zone.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of Salesforce Cloud solutions and specialized, back-end changes to HW’s Salesforce set-up.
  • Design, configure and customize the Salesforce Platform using no-code, low-code tools, and programming languages such as JavaScript and Apex.
  • Leverage Salesforce Flow Builder to automate business processes.
  • Support the building of custom pages for Lightning Experience quickly with point-and-click tools.
  • Build, customize and maintain Lightning web components.
  • Support the design and configuration of high-scale composable commerce apps with headless APIs, or integration of shopping experiences with Experience Cloud.
  • Support the design and maintenance of a secure, high-performance multi-cloud architecture that deliver business value for the customer.
  • Support data modeling and the design of data structures with objects, fields, and relationships.
  • Manage multiple commercial and marketing platforms simultaneously serving specific functions based various technologies.
  • Communicate between information technology and business stakeholders to help solve business challenges and find data-driven solutions.
  • Bridge the gap between the businesses’ challenges and their goals by mapping results to tools, and applications the customer needs to succeed.
  • Support the definition of business requirements, user stories, and business process flows.
  • Identify, document, and translate requirements from business and IT teams into platform functionality, highlighting the requirements that require configuration and customization.
  • Support the level of effort estimations for platform and functionality enhancements.
  • Facilitate decision-making and prioritization among the various stakeholders including business, IT, and executives.
  • Develop, manage, and guide continuous platform improvement, providing ownership of the platform roadmap and translations of the roadmap into tangible objectives that meet key performance indicators and metrics for the health of the application.
  • Manage and refine platform and application backlogs based on the platform roadmap, value realization and priorities.
  • Support the business and IT teams throughout the entire project implementation lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, and maintenance.
  • Work with managed service providers on projects and support topics to ensure cohesion between internal and external teams.
  • Conduct release management in coordination with stakeholders and development teams.
  • Support change management within business, IT and customer communication.
  • Responds to support requests, including the investigation and resolution of bugs and errors.
  • Be available to business and IT teams to answer questions.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

An individual qualified for this job must be able to:

  • Deep technical expertise in the Salesforce Cloud platform, specifically in Commerce Cloud (B2B), Digital Experience Cloud, Order Management Cloud, and Service Cloud.
  • Knowledge of best practice and industry standards, methodologies, technologies, architecture, and resources.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Strong product management skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong business analysis skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS

An individual qualified for this job must have and maintain the following qualifications:

  • 8 years’ experience working with Salesforce Cloud platforms, solutions, and applications.
  • 8 years’ experience as a product owner.
  • 8 years' experience in delivering enterprise digital solutions and projects.
  • 8 years’ eCommerce and Digital Customer Experience.
  • Education - Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) in Computer Science or related field or Military experience.
  • Any of the following certifications are preferred (Not Required):
  • Salesforce Experience Cloud Consultant
  • Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant
  • Salesforce Platform App Builder
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I or II
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer
