The LPN, as supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice of Behavioral Health.

Reports to: Program Director - Behavioral Health

Minimum Education
Graduate of a Program in Discipline (LPN) - Required

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Computer proficiency required.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association or American Red Cross - Required to be current upon hire
Licenses: State of Tennessee or Multi-State LPN licensure – Required
Proof of certification in IV therapy as mandated by the State of TN (ref: Chapter 1000-02 - .15 LPN Scope of Practice) - Preferred

Minimum Work Experience
Minimum 1 year LPN nursing experience. GeroPsych experience preferred.

Certification) must be obtained within 30 days of employment if not current upon hire.
Licenses: State of Tennessee Certified Nurse Aide licensure or EMT licensure

One (1) year certified nurse tech or EMT experience
