Highway Transport Logistics is Hiring a Senior Accountant Near Knoxville, TN
Location: 10024 Investment Drive, Suite 200 Knoxville, TN 37932
Salary Range: $65,000 - $81,250
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
- Prepare reconciliations for balance sheet accounts monthly.
- Directly work with Accounts Payable including processing payments.
- Manage vendor contracts to include payment methods, terms, and contracted rates.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports.
- Provide fluctuation analysis and explanation in accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of property tax, sales tax, and use tax returns.
- Additional tasks, duties and special projects may be assigned, as necessary.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and /or Finance.
- CPA preferred.
- 3 - 5 years minimum of experience in Accounting and /or Finance.
- Knowledge of Workday and Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Thrives in a fast paced and changing environment; leads and controls multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and work under pressure.
- Detailed-oriented.
- Majority of time will be spent in an office environment, hybrid of remote and in-office.
- Normal work schedule: after hours work and/or weekend work required, as necessary.
