Job Description
HII- Mission Technologies is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in Springfield, VA. This is a great opportunity to build your career!
Essential Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Acquisition and Procurement:
o Support the acquisition of cybersecurity tools and software.
o Ensure smooth procurement processes and timely renewals of licenses and subscriptions.
2. Data Analysis and Visualization:
o Enhance data analysis capabilities through proficient log parsing and visualization techniques.
o Utilize data to improve decision-making processes within the cybersecurity framework.
3. Tool Implementation:
o Implement cybersecurity tools, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
o Maintain operational efficiency of newly integrated tools.
4. Cybersecurity Assessments:
o Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
o Recommend and implement appropriate security measures to mitigate identified risks.
5. Incident Response:
o Assist in incident response activities, including investigating and containing security incidents.
o Develop and document incident response procedures to enhance organizational readiness.
Minimum Qualifications
0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
- Active TS/SCI with Poly
- Proven experience in cybersecurity tool acquisition, implementation, and management.
- Proficiency in log parsing and data visualization tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Experience conducting cybersecurity assessments and implementing security measures.
- Knowledge of incident response processes and best practices.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- CompTIA Security CE
- CompTIA CySA
- CompTIA CSAP
- AWS Certified Cloud Practioner.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity
Preferred Requirements
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
