We are seeking a seasoned Senior Construction Accountant for a Manhattan-based firm. You will be overseeing financial functions for project completion, including AP, AR, and compliance. Reporting to the Controller or designee, this role ensures integration of financial accounting and treasury management as directed by the VP of Accounting or Finance Controller.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Ensure timely and accurate project reports.

· Handle all Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.

· Review and audit vendor invoices per contract requirements.

· Analyze and set up billing rates and terms per contracts.

· Prepare client invoices and manage timely collections.

· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.

· Develop system controls for data integrity.

· Review project financial data and prepare monthly reconciliations.

· Provide accurate reporting during month-end close.

· Support management with special projects and ad-hoc reporting.

· Lead annual audits.

Position Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.

· Minimum 5 years of operational accounting experience preferred.

· Experience with CMIC required.

· Understanding of cost accounting and WIP.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Effective time management and organizational skills.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.
