Hildebrand Care Center is Hiring an Accounts Receivable Clerk Near Cañon City, CO

Come join a team of excellent employees in providing an all-around positive experience for our residents! Prefer a minimum of one year experience in billing, coding, and medical insurance.

  • BASIC FUNCTION:
  • This position's main purpose is to serve as support services for the Business Manager and billing functions of the business office. The position is responsible for daily preparation of deposits and posting deposits to resident’s accounts. This position also includes A/R review and cleanup directed by the Business Office Manager. This position will assist the Business Office Manager with Private pay and Patient Liability billing. The A/R clerk will also assist the Business Office Manager with rebilling as directed. This position will also assist with other daily duties as needed for the business office.
  • This position is classified as Hourly, Part-Time.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have experience in billing and accounts receivable for Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing.
  • Must have computer experience.
  • Must be able to function independently, be flexible and work harmoniously with residents, staff, and families.
  • Must be able to relate to the physically and mentally ill and at times offensive, hostile individuals in the facility.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language well enough to communicate with residents and receive written and oral direction from supervisor.
  • Must be able to see and hear well enough to complete essential job functions and to communicate with residents, supervisors, and others.
  • This position is classified as minimal risk for blood borne pathogen exposure.
  • REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
  • Reports to Business Office Manager.
  • AUTHORITY:
  • Has the authority to access the electronic health record according to the HIPAA Privacy and Security policy as specified under clinical authorization.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for following the Basic Function of the job description.
  • Responsible for operating programs on the computer.
  • Responsible for using universal precautions and necessary personal protective equipment (i.e., goggles, gloves, mask) to protect residents, yourself, and others from exposure to blood, body fluids and tissue.
  • Responsible for reporting any resident abuse to the authorities and the Director of Nursing as mandated under Senate Bill 13-11 and per the facility’s resident abuse policy.
  • Responsible for reporting incidents or exposure to the charge nurse immediately.
  • Responsible for following all rules and regulations of the facility.
  • Responsible to maintain a neat and clean appearance.
  • Responsible for treating residents, staff and public with kindness and consideration, and promoting an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork with the supervisors and employees of all other departments.
  • Responsible for the care and stewardship of all company assets and residents’ personal belongings.
  • Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of resident information and reporting all suspected violations of the (HIPAA) Privacy or Security Policy to the Privacy Officer or Security Officer.
  • Responsible for promoting excellence in person centered care by supporting the residents’ individuality through personal choices of daily life.
  • Responsible for complying with attendance and timeliness standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining a healthy, clean, and safe environment, free from fall hazards, for the residents and staff.
  • Responsible for participating in emergency operations as need arises and as instructed by the Incident Commander.
  • ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Maintain all records for Accounts Receivable. Ensure that Medicaid 5615 submissions, Medicaid, and Medicare billing.
  • Deposit all receipts, transfer personal needs portions of checks, post receipts.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations for Business Office in Long Term Care facilities.
  • Answer call lights and meet residents’ needs within scope of practice. Seek assistance if unable to meet residents’ needs.
  • Model and promote person centered care and actively participate in neighborhood meetings and activities.
  • NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Business Office Manager.
  • MEASUREMENTS OF PERFORMANCE:
  • All assigned tasks are handled consistently, efficiently, and effectively.
  • Resident, employee, and peer feedback indicates the Accounts Receivable Clerk is performing professionally and consistently.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
