Hill Country Wound Care and Hyperbarics is seeking a Medical Billing and Collection Specialist. Must be familiar with Medicare and commercial insurance billing.

The ideal candidate must have a year of experience in A / R.

Must be extremely responsible, punctual, and resourceful. We are looking for someone with a long-term commitment who is eager to grow with the company.

Requirements / responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Previous experience with claims research and reconciliation
• Prepare claims to submit to Medicare and commercial insurance through billing software and clearinghouse
• A / R reports and claim follow-up with insurances working denials, rejections, etc.
• Reviewing of EOBs for proper reimbursement
• Report on outstanding claims to Billing Manager and Managing Director
• Ensure timely collection of outstanding A / R and perform a variety of clerical and accounting functions
• Resolve billing issues of submitted claims
• Apply electronic remittances and cash receipts to claims
• Provide posting information on EFT / ACH / Checks received to Accounting Department.
• Mail client statements
• Answer questions for clients, local offices and Access department relating to all revenue cycle matters with professional phone and email manner
• Responsible for developing and maintaining managed care contracts
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Requirements :

Minimum of a year experience in healthcare billing & collection practices, working with Medicare and commercial insurance billing and credentialing process.

Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine billing experience preferred.

• Working knowledge of medical billing systems / software
• Experience with Medicare systems and working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding systems preferred.
• Medical billing and coding, credentialing certification a plus.
• Attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills and organization skills required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite a plus.

Pay : $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

8 hour shift
