Our direct care team is looking for an night shift unit supervisor! This RN position coordinates the daily operations of staff to ensure operational units are running effectively and efficiently.
Duties/Responsibilities:
•Develops, implements and enforces policies and procedures which support the Hospital's mission, goals and objectives.
•Provides oversight for the hospital in the absence of management: addresses patient care, staffing, and any other issues that may arise.
•Assumes responsibility for supervision and administrative decision making for the care and coordination of nursing and patient care services during the evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
•Ensures that hospital policies and procedures are followed.
•Recommends and ensures appropriate staffing levels. Allocates resources according to priorities.
•Generates creative solutions & attention to detail.
•Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
•Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
•Develops alternative solutions.
•Balances team and individual responsibilities.
•Demonstrates persistence and follow through even when faced with adversity or challenges.
•Directs and coordinates nursing activities and support services by serving as a resource person in management situations needing immediate resolution in accordance with hospital policy.
•In partnership with the nursing management team ensures that staffing resources are deployed appropriately.
•Updates direct care schedule as needed
•Assists RNs on the units with admissions and discharges
•Ensures the compliance of documents being completed accurately and managing accordingly if there are any discrepancies.
•Resolve medication inventory and discrepancies.
•Manager users in the electronic health records system.
•Handle patient and family complaints.
•Other Duties as assigned

Required:
•Pennsylvania State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
•Acute Psychiatric Hospital nursing: 3-5 years' experience
•BSN
•CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
Job Types: Full-Time: Candidate will work 40 hours per week with every other weekend coverage and rotating holidays as well as participate in the on-call rotation.
