Responsibilities:
- Fabricate dental prosthetics, including crowns, bridges, and dentures, according to dentist specifications and patient needs
- Utilize CAD software and digital imaging technology to design and create dental restorations
- Take accurate measurements and impressions of patients' teeth and gums
- Use micrometers and other precision tools to ensure accurate fit and alignment of dental prosthetics
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure proper patient assessment and treatment planning
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental technology, materials, and techniques
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification as a Dental Technician is preferred
- Proficiency in medical imaging software, such as Epic, for digital design and fabrication of dental prosthetics
- Knowledge of medical records management systems for accurate documentation and record keeping
- Experience with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for designing dental restorations
- Strong patient assessment skills to ensure proper treatment planning and customization of dental prosthetics
- Familiarity with medical coding systems for accurate billing and insurance claims processing
- Previous experience working in a dental office or laboratory setting is highly desirable
- Understanding of infection control protocols and the ability to maintain a sterile work environment
- Proficiency in using micrometers and other precision tools for precise measurements
